Jeans with a Black Jacket

Short fitted jacket which I am wearing buttoned and belted and with sleeves pushed up. Plain ol' jeans and a white polo shirt. My daughter Karen made that moonstone necklace for me for Christmas.

Black Red White

Here's a lacy white vest worn over black pants and a red polo with white collar. I knotted a scarf in front in order to balance out the look with a little more red. People say I look Christmassy.

Black pants and polo with denim shirt. I've wrapped a scarf around my waist as a belt.

A Ralph Lauren Sweater

Very sporty look today -- a black and cream Ralph Lauren sweater with a red racing stripe down the sleeve. With blue jeans.

Black and Blue

I'm pushing the boundaries of what counts as 'denim blue' with this sweater. It's another thrift store find, and was just so cute I had to buy it! I'm wearing it with black pants and a blue patterned scarf.

Black with Flowers

Here I'm experimenting with mixing prints. Both skirt and scarf are prints of beige flowers on a black background; the skirt flowers are large and somewhat random in color while the scarf flowers are tiny and uniform. Also, a white T shirt and beige blazer with 3/4 length sleeves. The beige of this jacket is rather subdued. I think a brighter beige would work better but this is all I've got.

Red White and Black

A red boyfriend sweater over a short-sleeved white button-down shirt; black pants; patterned scarf. The light from the window is so interesting; I'm letting it wash out half my face.
